Nechako River Flow Control (RM88-6)

The 1988/1989 Nechako River Flow Control Project was undertaken to ensure effective fulfilment of the Short-Term Water Allocation, as defined in the 1987 Settlement Agreement, which specifies a mean release of 36.8 m3/s at Skins Lake Spillway and an approximate mean annual flow of 41.7 m3/s at Nechako River below Cheslatta Falls. Recorded flow data for the 1988/1989 water year (April 1, 1988 to March 31, 1989) indicate that the actual mean annual flow in Nechako River below Cheslatta Falls was 52.6 m3/s. This report presents a comparison of recorded mean annual and mean monthly flows and the Short-Term Flow Regime defined in the Settlement Agreement.

The 1989/1990 Nechako River Flow Control Project was undertaken to ensure effective fulfilment of the Short-Term Water Allocation, as defined in the 1987 Settlement Agreement, which specifies a mean release of 36.8 m3/s at Skins Lake Spillway and an approximate mean annual flow of 41.7 m3/s at Nechako River below Cheslatta Falls. Recorded flow data for the 1989/1990 water year (April 1, 1989 to March 31, 1990) indicate that the actual mean annual flow in Nechako River below Cheslatta Falls was 55.8 m3/s. This report presents a comparison of recorded mean annual and mean monthly flows and the Short-Term Flow Regime defined in the Settlement Agreement.
